What can I eat during the Dr. Jen's Hormone Lifestyle Reset Program?

Unlike many other weight loss programs, the Metabolic Reset works without shakes, pills or gimmicks - just delicious whole foods. How long is Dr. Jen's Hormone Lifestyle Reset Program?

The overall program duration is 10 weeks, starting with two days of "loading phase". During the next 6 weeks, you'll go through the "losing phase" before transitioning to the "maintenance phase" for another 4 weeks (to stabilize your new weight set point). Throughout the entire journey, you'll have ongoing support through our private Facebook community, group coaching calls, and direct access to me and my time. And for those of you that want ongoing support and coaching after the completion of the program, we provide affordable options.

What if I am on medication?

If you are on medication, Dr. Horton will evaluate your case to be sure that there are no contraindications. Those on blood pressure and diabetes medication will need to carefully monitor their levels since many patients experience complete normalization of their blood sugar and pressure levels. For those who are diabetic, we suggest purchasing a continuous blood glucose monitor to track their numbers.

This program is NOT for those that are extremely ill or have a debilitating chronic disease. This program is for those that deeply value their health, are highly coachable, like accountability, are responsive to positive feedback, and are honest with themselves and others. After practicing for 16 years in the traditional model of health care, I felt my days were spent putting out fires and giving out band-aids. So much of what I saw every day in my patients is actually preventable, or at least modifiable by diving deep into meaningful lifestyle modification. So in 2016, I began to explore holistic approaches through functional/integrative medicine. This is an individualized, patient-centered, science-based approach that empowers patients and practitioners to work together to address the underlying causes of disease and promote optimal wellness. 

Habits are contagious, there is a ripple effect when you are immersed in a community. Community is the group of people in which the habit moves through. Contagion is the habit, whether it be happiness, depression, obesity or smoking. The community you immerse yourself in, will impact the likelihood of engaging in or expressing these habits AND IMPACT YOUR HEALTH.

While I’m really pleased with my weight loss on the program I’m even more delighted in the reduction or indeed elimination of many symptoms such as neuropathy in my feet, brain fog, unattributable anxiety, lack of energy, muscle aches and joint pain, an inability to complete things despite a desire to, lack of sleep, being unable to switch off to name just a few.
